Ribbon Flower

Use ribbon flowers to embellish lamp shades, tiebacks, bags, hair pins or even flip-flops!

You will need:

  • Buttons
  • Glue
  • Needle
  • Ribbon – various colors and widths
  • Thread

Cut 5 strips of ribbon, 11” long.

Try using different colors and widths.

Starting with the ribbon you want on top, layer the ribbons in a star shape, right sides facing down.

Add a tiiiny dab of fabric-friendly glue between each layer.

Bring all ribbon edges to the center. Glue works here too, but just a tad.

Flip your ribbon flower over.

Find the perfect button center.  Stitch button to center of flower, making sure to stitch through all layers of ribbon to hold them in place.
